------------------DECĀNUS------------------ OCTĀVIUS THE YOUNG WOLF ---------------------------------------------------
Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders that I yet have heard.
It seems to me most strange that men should fear; Seeing that death, a necessary end, Will come when it will come.
The gods do this in shame of cowardice: Caesar should be a beast without a heart, If he should stay at home to-day for fear. No, Caesar shall not: danger knows full well That Caesar is more dangerous than he: We are two lions litter'd in one day, And I the elder and more terrible:
And Caesar shall go forth.
------------------ VOS NOSCERE ------------------ FULL BIRTH NAME || Octavius
ALIAS + NICKNAMES || Avi, and the less frequent Oct, the young wolf
SPECIES || Human
CLASS || Champion
AGE || 24 years old
SEX || Male
HEIGHT || 6'3"
SKIN COLOUR || Sun-kissed, white
HAIR COLOUR + STYLE || Mousy brown. Crew cut but choppy, refined with a knife so it's not perfect.
EYE COLOUR || left blue, right brown
SCARS + IDENTIFYING MARKS || various scars, lash marks, and a red 'x' tattoo on his chest
PERSONALITY + DEMEANOUR || He is relatively serious, raised to believe in a god and a fastidious set of laws and a culture he may not have necessarily believed had he not born to it. While he is a devout follower on the surface, Octavius questions his faith, and suffers a great inner turmoil acting in the name of someone he doubts, though these are not necessarily moral objections. He is a hopeless romantic and hopes to find someone he loves deeply and loves him in much the same way, but does not acknowledge these wishes among his peers for fear of persecution.
ALIGNMENT || Neutral good in the confines of his religion
PROFESSION + JOB || Decānus, lupus iuveni
GROUP + FACTION || Caesar's Legion
------------------ IN CAPITIS MEI ------------------ RESISTANCES || He is disciplined; has a high focus, and due to the intensive training regimen he has been subjected to, punishments such as lashings and beatings, he has pain tolerance--he knows that whatever he experiences in battle will be far less horrible than what he faces for failure.
WEAKNESSES || His romantic heart can cause him to be brash, and spare his mortal enemies. Although he is capable of acting without compunction over battlefield loss of his own men, he understands that the world is complex, and can hesitate to make the 'right decision'. His emotional perception is acute, he does not like to cause unjustified pain, and of course, has meek squishy human flesh.
FEARS + PHOBIAS || Failure, his own and to his heart, and to his master
OVERALL HEALTH || Excellent, he is in great physical shape and well-fed, as are men of the Legion || update as of OCTOBER 31st he has 2 gunshot wounds, will heal fully November 10th

------------------ CORPUS MEUM ------------------ SPECIAL
STRENGTH || 8
PERCEPTION || 5
ENDURANCE || 7
CHARISMA || 5

APPEARANCE Muscular, gruff scarring and a stern expression, but handsome and almost boyishly so. EQUIPMENT Legion gladius - a cared for blade that deals a high rate of damage when used at a close range, but is ultimately useless at any other range. Legionary weapons are frequently well-looked after by a blacksmithy, and whet to be optimally sharp. Bow and arrows - a Legion-made bow and arrow set --- Legion Lorica Segmentata - Legion-forged segmeted armour made of animal leathers and shiny, durable metals. As most Legion things, it is well crafted and clean. It includes pturges, which are strips of leather that cover his vulnerable man parts and thighs. --- CLOTHING || finely sewn burlap common clothes (top and skirt, held to the waist by a leather belt)
--------------------
He calls me boy; and chides, as he had power
To beat me out of Egypt; my messenger He hath whipp'd with rods; dares me to personal combat, Caesar to Antony: let the old ruffian know I have many other ways to die; meantime Laugh at his challenge.
