Would
you want to try checking a deathclaw's undercarriage? Refers to himself as male, however.
Height:
6'6"
Hide colour:
Olive, grey and black
Horn colour/style:
Average deathclaw style, matte black
Eye colour:
Leafy green with golden specks
Scars/identifying marks:
His right horn is notably shorter than the left
Personality/demeanour:
A big scaly ball of anxiety most of the time, given the propensity of people to react pretty poorly to suddenly encountering a deathclaw. If he manages not to get shot at in the first 3 seconds of meeting someone, though, they'll find him to be a pretty laid-back but also highly inquisitive lizard who seeks ever greater knowledge through the books scattered across the wasteland. Like Ash Ketchum trying to catch 'em all, this deathclaw wants to read 'em all. He's like a cross between that kid who does nothing but ask questions about the world around them, and a really big dog who just wants to be friends with everyone. Except the dog's a lizard... and it moves like a cat.
Alignment:
Neutral, given that he lacks any understanding of human morality
Profession/job:
Nada, he just kinda wanders around looking for books and trying to make friends
Group/faction:
Unaligned
Resistances:
Innate radiation and damage resistance by virtue of being a tough-scaled wasteland beastie
Weaknesses:
Does an inability to equip ranged weaponry and therefore being forced to engage all foes at melee distance count as a weakness? He's also still just an animal at the end of the day and his ability to navigate humanity will be inherently limited by that, no matter how many books he reads or how smart he becomes.
e.g. Like a dog, he tends to associate consequences with the immediate action preceding it, and can't really grasp the human concepts of either delayed gratification or acting on a long-standing grudge.
Naiveté/gullibility and not having cultural background on new things he encounters will also be a pitfall he'll have to navigate. (That baseball guy in Diamond City would be able to sell this deathclaw a bridge, and then some.)
Fears/phobias:
Feral ghouls. He finds the fact that even when dismembered they'll still keep crawling and trying to attack disturbing on an instinctual level. He's basically useless in fights against them, because he will generally try to flee rather than face them. Civil ghouls are met with a level of distrust at first, if only for his persistent paranoia that they might turn at any given moment.
Overall physical health:
As optimal as a mutated beast can hope for
Diseases:
None
Psychiatric/mental diseases:
Displays a general level of anxiety and paranoia- though this could just as easily be attributed to trying to navigate a human social landscape while being a thing most humans would shoot on sight.
