i. usernames & registrationYou may choose any username, even unrelated to your characters, and sign up. You may use one profile for all your characters, or make an individual account for each, as long as you remain active on all. Only staff must separate their moderation accounts from their role-playing accounts.
Questions can be directed to any moderator or administrator. I am online every day, or may be invisible, please do not hesitate to contact me at any point.
ii. ratingThis is the Fallout universe, and as such we maintain a restricted or “R” rating. This permits the use of explicit language, and graphic violence. Sexual themes are permitted, but may not be narrated in detail in any thread.
iii. character creationAnything can be created within reason, but characters must be balanced with flaws and weaknesses. Characters that are mary-sues will be removed and barred from any in-character threads.
Canon characters are strictly prohibited. If a canon character is to be played, it is as an NPC, controlled by a Lore Master, or temporarily adoptable for plot purposes.
If you have purchased a weapon from the shop, you may assign it to your character by updating their character sheet under the section weapons. Character sheets must be kept up to date with a character’s armor, weapons, and possessions. When beginning, your character may only have basic possessions, weapons, and armor, or if things make sense. However, staff will notify you and prevent you from posting should any edits need be made.
Your character need not be accepted in order to begin role-playing, but players may choose to ignore them, and you may not be involved in any plots. Once your character has been accepted, then you may do whatever you wish.
iv. in character consentBy role-playing in any in character section, you have consented for the possibility that your character may be killed. This means that all in character areas are “non-consent”, allowing them to be attacked, assaulted, or killed; as long as the attacking character is in compliance with role-play rules (did not attack in the first post, has a viable reason to be attacking, is not thrill-killing), staff will not void the role-play.
v. posting & word countThere is no word count to which you need adhere, nor any posting minimum, nor need you write a novella. We prefer that all players prioritize quality over quantity, and if a post only requires a single sentence to drive the story forward, then that is all that is needed.
vi. timelineTime is fluid, and moves along at the pace of the stories that are told here. You need not adhere to any longevity rules, or be restricted to timing your role-plays to ensure they are over in a timely fashion. Continue for as long as you would like, as the story only progresses as we do.
Your characters may be involved in as many threads as you can handle, as long as you can remain active in each of them. Restrictions will be imposed on players who often bite off more than they can chew.
vii. behaviorBe respectful of others, and remember the golden rule; treat others how you would want to be treated. If this basic, common sense rule is not followed, then we will temporarily or permanently ban offending players, as a per situation basis, after a staff investigation has been conducted and an assessment made.
