In the heart of Boston lies the fortified settlement of Diamond City, the “Great Green Jewel” of the Commonwealth. Vault dwellers may recognize the structure as pre-war Fenway Park, but to wastelanders, it is a bustling safe haven set amid the war-ravaged ruins of Boston. The city is split into social classes with the wealthy living lavishly in the upper stands, while those less fortunate try to make a living on the field of the stadium below. Outsiders can comfortably take refuge behind the city’s reinforced walls, knowing that Diamond City security keeps a watchful eye on all who come to barter with the merchants, grab a bite at Power Noodles, or a drink and warm bed at the Dugout Inn.

Constructed within the belly of a pre-war theatre, the centre stage now set as a circular, metal cage, crusted with old blood. Raiders, and those with a wayward moral compass, may come to watch from the stands, or compete to the death in the arena. Anyone broken enough can be deigned to compete, as long as they use weapons to stab, gouge, or bash.
