A testament the the tenacity of the human race, Megaton stands tall in the Capital Wasteland hidden behind walls of solid steel and airplane wings. At the center of the town sits the megaton bomb dropped during the old war. Despite the imminent danger of living yards away from a life nuclear bomb, the people go about their lives as if it were the most usual thing. The local church of the Children of Atom spend their days preaching from beside the relic, worshiping it as an artifact left by their destructive god. |

This derelict strip mall looks almost inviting from a distance with a large mascot of a little boy holding ice cream being the most prominent feature. Paradise Falls, however, is actually the central hub of slave trading in the Capital Wasteland, acting as a cruel mirror of the Canterbury Commons trading company, and is guarded 'round the clock by veteran slavers. The slaves are kept in chain link pens, but their cooperation is maintained by the metal collars they are all forced to wear. For those in need of slaves, this is the place to go, but be careful not to cross the residents, they're crazy and brave enough even to trade with denizens of the Pitt. |

A system of caves existing as part of a tourist attraction from before the war, the Little Lamplight caverns were extensive enough to shield people from the worst of the radiation. At the time the bombs fell the area was mostly populated by school children on field trips as well as their supervisors. After the supervisors left or died off, however, it was up to the children to take care of themselves. So the settlement of Little Lamplight was born. They hold strong beliefs about adults and make sure to exile the kids that reach the age of 15 to another settlement called "Big Town." Though there is plenty to trade here, the children distrust adults and make a point of shooting them at the first sign of hostility. To make matters worse, the deeper parts of the cavern connect to the tunnels housing the infamous Vault 87, practically a factory of super mutants. |
